Restaurant Week

August 8, 2007

I’m really psyched for my Restaurant Week reservations later this week. I’m going to Equinox for a late dinner on Sat. and Mon. I’m going to Oyamel for lunch with my girlfriend. Oyamel has extended their RW until the 25th, which I am quite thankful for.

I’ve heard great things about Equinox. I work for Cowgirl Creamery in downtown DC, where we sell cheese from all the country that’s organic, local, vegetarian, etc. Apparently, Equinox has been doing local for decades and it’s quite a hot ticket this August, so a three course dinner for 30 bucks will be awesome.

And, considering that I spent almost all summer interning at Tasty Concepts, who does all the Graphic Design for Chef José Andres’ places, I really want to go to Oyamel. Upscale Mexican will be cool to compare to the food I get at my girlfriend’s favorite place in Santa Barbara when we go there mid-August. Anyway, this is my first blog post. Now that I’m blogging full time for The Eagle, I wanted something for myself.
